Buildings – Form of Monument with Functional Value

Monuments have been used for several things, thus, these can have a wide range of symbols and even sizes. Buildings are actually considered monuments. The modern buildings can stand as monuments with certain symbols or architectural importance while others are for functional purposes.
Monuments represent many things, there are those that are memoirs of war, others are to symbolize their great civilizations while others are made to commemorate the pass glorious people and erect monuments for their burial sites. Thus, most of these monuments can actually be as small headstone or as large as buildings. Buildings in previous centuries are often directed only with temples and burial sites. The most notable examples of temple buildings include Solomonic Columns and Westminster Abbey.   However, with the modern times, the buildings can already be residential areas and are often architectural sites. Thus, there already some buildings that are monumental like the Pentagon, the White House; other functional buildings are also monumental both in size and in importance are Boeing Everett Factory and the NASA Vehicle Factory Building. These changes in the use of buildings are noted in business report writing.   Architectural changes also occurred because of the discovery of materials and the needs of the times. On the other hand, term papers writers also noted that there are buildings which also conform to other monumental types. Say, the Piazza Navona which has an obelisk, several fountains, statues and several other types of monuments.
